Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Binbox Games ("we", "us") handles personal information in connection with AnotherPlayer ("the Software") and the website anotherplayer.com.

1. Summary

AnotherPlayer v1 is free for everyone. We do not require an account, email address, or any other personal information to download or use v1. We do not embed third-party advertising, behavioral analytics, or telemetry in v1.

The only personal information processed is what the hosting provider records to deliver and protect the site (described in Section 2), and — when you choose to make an optional donation — what the donation Merchant of Record needs to process payment (described in Section 4, applicable only once donations launch).

2. Data we process

2.1 Website visit (anotherplayer.com)

When you visit the website, Cloudflare (our hosting and content delivery provider) processes standard server log data needed to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse:

IP address, request timestamp, requested URL, HTTP status, user agent string.
Used only for: serving the page, abuse and bot mitigation, security analytics.
Retained per Cloudflare's standard operational logging policy; we do not store these logs ourselves.

2.2 The Software itself (on your device)

The Software runs entirely on your device. v1 does not transmit personal information, browsing history, file contents, or telemetry to us or to any third party.

Local data (settings file, indexed file metadata, waveform peaks) stays on your device.
The Software does not collect contact lists, microphone or camera input, hardware fingerprints, or third-party advertising identifiers.
The Software does not phone home for license checks or usage tracking.

3. What we do not collect

We do not collect:

Email address (unless you explicitly contact us by email or, in the future, choose to donate)
Account credentials or user accounts (none exist)
Contact lists or address books
Microphone, camera, or screen-capture input
Files on your device or their contents
Hardware fingerprints or device identifiers used for tracking
Third-party advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID)
Browsing history for advertising

We do not sell or share personal information for advertising or third-party marketing.

4. Donations (when available)

Once optional donation checkout launches, donations will be processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd. as Merchant of Record. At that point Paddle will collect what is needed to process payment — typically email address, billing name, billing country, and payment method details — under Paddle's own buyer terms and privacy policy.

If you have not made a donation, Section 4 does not apply to you and no donation data is processed for you.

This Privacy Policy will be updated with full processor disclosure before donation checkout becomes available.

When donation checkout launches, Paddle.com Market Ltd. (United Kingdom) will be added as Merchant of Record for donation payment processing.

We use no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking processors.

6. International transfer

If you reside outside the United States, your website request data is transferred to Cloudflare in the United States in order to deliver the site. The transfer is necessary to provide the requested service. You may refuse by not visiting the website.

For residents of the Republic of Korea, this disclosure is provided per the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), Article 28-8:

Legal basis: Performance of service (delivering the requested website).
Data transferred: IP address and standard HTTP request metadata.
Recipient country: United States (Cloudflare, Inc.).
Transfer method: Real-time, via HTTPS during normal site operation.
Recipient contact: privacy@cloudflare.com.
Recipient purpose: Web hosting, content delivery, abuse and bot mitigation.
Recipient retention: Per Cloudflare's standard operational logging policy.
How to refuse: Do not visit the website.

7. Your rights

You have the rights of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21), and rights related to automated decision-making (Art. 22). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

To exercise these rights, contact contact@binboxgames.com. Because we hold very little personal information about you (typically nothing beyond a transient HTTP request log held by Cloudflare), most requests are limited by what data exists.

7.2 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

Binbox Games does not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If CCPA applicability changes in the future, this section will be updated with the required request and opt-out process.

California residents have the rights to know, delete, opt-out of sale or sharing, correct, and limit use of sensitive personal information. To submit a request, contact contact@binboxgames.com.

7.3 Republic of Korea residents (PIPA Article 30)

8. Cookies

The anotherplayer.com website does not set any first-party cookies for analytics or advertising. It may use only the minimum cookies set by Cloudflare for security purposes (for example, anti-bot challenges). No third-party tracking cookies are used.

9. Children

The Software is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14 (Republic of Korea) or under 13 (United States, COPPA).

10. Security

We use HTTPS for all site traffic, Cloudflare platform controls (DDoS mitigation, WAF, bot management), and server-side secrets for any future donation operations.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. If donation checkout launches, this Privacy Policy will be updated in advance to disclose Paddle as a donation processor.
